There is a very large community of preppers on the web, and the individuals who are a part of that community are very willing to share their knowledge to help others who are like-minded. We refer to many of them to continually increase our own knowledge and understanding of preparedness skills, keep up with current events that might give a heads up on potential disasters and learn about new products and gear to make prepping more effective.
